Cloud is full of fear and pain, panic and confusion, and with guilt and shame he remembers his memories with Zack. He remembers his relationship with Tifa, who was one of his best friends. When Claude sees the sword that has sunk into the president's head, he realizes that it was the ambassador's job because no one other than him can hold it. Rufus, the president's son, is succeeded by his father. On the roof, Claude encounters Rufus while the rest of the group escapes and Tifa waits for him, but Rufus manages to escape by helicopter.

Claude and Tifa join the rest of the group at the bottom of the building and are driven away by a motorcycle and a truck. They go outside Midgar and Claude tells them to look for Sefiroth because he is alive. They go to Kalm town, where Claude tells them his true story and then swears to destroy Safiroth.

They then cross the nearby swamp by Chokobo and head for the Mythril mines. There they meet Tseng, Rude and a new member of the Turks named Elena. (Reno was injured in the Section 7 explosion and was replaced by Elena until he recovered). He suddenly reveals that Safiroth has been spotted near Junon.

Claude and his companions head to Junon. A large coastal town with three floors: upper, middle, and lower. On the way, they rescue a girl named Priscilla and her dolphin who were trapped by a blue monster. They find out that Rufus is coming to Junon soon. Priscilla lends her dolphin to help them get there sooner. Claude disguises himself as a guard and marches among the soldiers at a ceremony to welcome Rufus. The rest of the group disguises themselves as sailors and smuggled into a cargo ship. When the party is over, Claude joins them.

On the deck, Sefiroth, or rather the Sefiroth clone controlled by him, appears and disappears after a short struggle.

Claude and his companions go to the Costa del sol. A seaside resort that Hojo chose for his vacation. They see Hojo, who is on vacation, and he tells them to go to Corel.

They reach North corel after some distance. There, Bart is accused of setting fire to a few years ago.

There, they see a toy cat riding on a toy mug, which introduces itself as Cait Sith. He was made by Reeve. Cait sith joins Claude and his friends as a member of the band. He was very good at spying.

Diane came around and killed a large number of people in a heinous massacre. One of the witnesses survives the incident and later testifies that a man who had a gun instead of his arm did so. Gold saucer owner Dio arrests Bart (as Bart, like Diane, had a gun instead of his arm). Bart and the rest of the group are taken to Rendan Corel.

There, Bart sees Diane. Someone who was known as the head of the prison. Diane attacks him. Bart defeats him and Dain, who finds himself defeated, throws himself off a cliff for the last time. He gives his necklace to Bart at the last moment. Because it was the only thing by which they were allowed to get out of prison.

There was a Chokubo match. Cloud volunteers and wins. Dio gives him a carriage as an apology and appreciation. They drive to the southern city of Gongaga (Zack's hometown). They see Reno and Rude around them, and a little later they see Tseng and Scarlet around an abandoned reactor. Tseng and Scarlet tried to empty the remaining matter in the reactor, but the matter did not appear to be the same size. Scarlet was looking for a massive mass (a highly dense isotope) to build a new weapon with. They also met Zack's parents, but Claude did not remember Zack at all.

On the way through the Cosmo Valley, the carriage suddenly has a problem and they are forced to find a shelter to repair the carriage. When people nearby see Nanaki (RedXIII) with them, they warmly welcome them and take them to town. Red XIII introduces them to his grandfather Boggen Hagen. He asks Red XIII to join Claude and destroy Safiroth, but first decides to tell him the truth about his father.

He took them to a room that was full of spiritsThe tribe of Gi was enslaved, and there Red XIII sees the stone statue of his father and learns the truth about his father's courage and bravery. He then decides to go with Claude to defeat Sefiroth.

Claude and his friends go to Nibelheim. Nobody knows them there because only Shinra's staff and ambassador clones were there. They go to Shinara's mansion, where they see another Sefiroth clone, which he controlled. He says things about Reunion and then disappears.

Side Quest: In Sheenra Claude's mansion, he finds the key to Vincent's room and convinces him to help him destroy Safiroth and Hugo.

Cloud and a group travel from the Nibelheim Mountains to Rocket town, where President Rufus and Palmer (Shinra's space director) are persuading Cid to borrow his plane. Cid refuses and they board the plane with Claude and escape. The soldiers shoot at them and the plane crashes into the lake, but it still takes them to shore in the form of a temporary boat.

Side Quest: Ufi goes to the Temple of the Five Gods and defeats them. He meets his father again. There they obtain material that has the power to summon Leviathan. Leviathan is said to be the protector of the city in Wutai legend.

Near the shore, a gunsmith who lives in a small hut gives information to Claude about a temple called the "Temple of the Ancients." A legendary place that is the place of black matter. Black matter can summon an ancient and very powerful and destructive magic called Meteor (a very strong celestial meteor). He tells them that a special stone key is needed to enter the temple.

Dio, the owner of the Gold Saucer, is offering the key to Claude, who will give it to him if he can win the battle. Claude has done it successfully, and he keeps his word. However, the bridge leading to the temple is broken and Claude and his friends get stuck there. Cait sith takes them to a hotel to spend the night there.

In the middle of the night, Iris wakes up Claude (depending on the gameplay, each player may be Iris, Tifa, UFO or Bart instead of Iris). They walk together and spend a happy night together and play together. Suddenly they see Cait Sith holding a stone key. He escapes and they chase after him. Cait sith throws the key to Tseng and he escapes by helicopter. Claude threatens Cait Sith, and at this point he plays Marlin's recorded voice, which was stolen by Shinra, and Claude holds his hand.
Cait sith begs Claude to let him join the group. Although it was expected that Shinra would have arrived sooner than they did, they would have to go after the ambassador, and Claude eventually agreed.

When they reach the Ancient Temple, they see Tseng wounded and wounded by one of the Sefiroth clones. According to him, Safiroth has gone inside the temple and Claude and Iris are following him. There Iris hears the voice of the ancient spirits saying things to him. First of all, things about an extremely powerful black magic called Meteor, whose power is stored in black matter. At this point, the Sefiroth clone appears and recounts some of Sefiroth's evil plans.

Safiroth's final plan was: he must obtain black matter and then use it to summon Meteor magic (the strongest force known to date). When a meteor hits Earth, the planet is severely damaged and injured. At this time, the planet sends a large amount of Lifestream (Mako energy) to the affected area to heal itself. At this point, Sefiroth stands at the site of the planet's wound, merging with the massive flood of Lifestream and merging with the planet. This makes him and his mother Genoa rulers of the earth, and they can destroy everything and take revenge on humans.

They finally find the black material that was placed in a strange puzzle. Disrupting the puzzle would destroy the entire temple, so Cait Sith (who was a robot) volunteered to do so. He does this and the temple is destroyed and the black matter remains at the bottom. Tseng, who was in the temple, strangely survived the incident.

Cloud gets the black metrics, but this time, Sefiroth controls him with the force of his brain, forcing him to give the metria to another clone that was on its way back to its main body in the northern volcano. . Stunned, Cloud attacked Ierith out of control, and Cait sith No. 2 appeared and arrested him.

Now that the black matter was in Safiroth's hands, there was only one thing and one person who was able to deal with it. The only shield that could stop Meteor was the Holy Magic in white matter. The white matrix was the same matrix that Iris's mother gave him at the time of his death. Iris was the only one who knew this (because she was a real star). Iris decides to go to a sacred place called the City of Forgotten Capital, where the Ancients once lived. Downstairs there is an altar full of water, where an Ancient can be foundSummon the Holy Magic and neutralize the Meteor. Iris falls in love with Claude and tells him that he is going to Sleeping forest.


Claude follows him to the village of Bone. The entrance to the Sleeping forest is from there. He finds a magic grip that allows them to enter the city of the forgotten. After entering the lower part, Claude and his companions go and wait until nightfall and the entrance corridor to the Blue Altar opens. There he sees Iris performing the Holy Summoning Ceremony. At this point, Safiroth suddenly appears in the body of one of his clones, and in an instant, he plunges his sword into Iris's body and kills her immediately.


The white matrix in Iris's hand falls into the water and emits a bright green light, indicating that Holy magic has been activated. The real ambassador, however, manages to somehow stop Holy. With tears in his eyes, Claude buries Iris's body by the pond.


Claude follows the Sefiroth clone to the Icicle inn, where they find evidence of Dr. Gast and Ifalna's relationship. Elena and several of Shinra's soldiers block their way and do not allow them to cross. Elena blames Claude for what happened to Tseng and then fights him. There, Claude finds a snowboard and a map of the area and heads for the icy river at the bottom of the valley.

They make their way to the cold, snow-capped mountains of Gaea. On the way, a man named Holozov sees them and suggests that they rest for a while before crossing the mountain. At the top of the mountain they finally see the northern volcano. They move down a winding path and eventually a "Reunion" occurs. All Sefiroth clones return to him.

Rufus, Scarlet, and Hojo arrive aboard the Highwind, Shinra spacecraft. They find the location of the five weapons created by the planet. At this point, Claude, Tifa, and the rest of the group find the clone that stole the black material from them, and after grabbing him, he gets it. Fearing that Sefiroth would regain control of his brain, Claude gives Metria to a member of the group to hold it, and he prepares to fight Sefiroth himself.

As Claude walks toward the center of the crater, Safiroth forces him to run toward Claude, focusing on the same person holding the matrix.

Sefiroth, who was trying to confuse Claude, tricks him. In fact, he only tells Claude the fact that he was "not" a member of the Sulger group when he went to Nibelheim. Cloud's brain is agitated, and at this point the same member of the group arrives and gives black matter to Cloud. The Sefiroth plan is being implemented once again. Claude does not resist the power of Sefiroth's brain and throws Metria into the Mako hole where Sefiroth's real body was. Sefiroth rises and quickly summons the magic of Meteor, which begins to move towards the planet like a huge, fiery bullet. The rest of the group, as well as Shinra leaders, quickly flee. Five ancient weapons are awakened. Safiroth creates a magical barrier around the crater that prevents anyone from entering.

Bart and Tifa are arrested and brought to Junon. Shinera intends to destroy Meteor in public because he was summoned to the horizon. At this point, Uffie and Cait Sith disguise themselves and sneak into Junon. Cid and the others try to steal the Highwind spacecraft. Bart is released with the help of Cait Sith, but Tifa was trapped in a gas chamber and his rescue seemed unlikely. At this point, one of the five weapons attacks Junon. There was a huge cannon embedded in Junon and it was destroyed before the weapon could inflict severe damage. As a result, the room where Tifa was imprisoned was opened and Tifa managed to escape.

Cait sith takes Bart to the spaceship. In the meantime, Tifa escapes from Scarlet and Shinra's soldiers and reaches the end of the Junon cannon. Before Scarlet can shoot him, Cid and Bart rescue him in a suicide bombing and fly away with the Highwind spacecraft.

Tifa starts looking for Claude. They find Claude in the town of Mideel, who had been severely poisoned by Makoi's exposure. Tifa decides to stay with him, and Cid takes over the group. Cait sith gets information from Shinra's new map. Shinra is building a powerful cannon to turn it into a powerful weapon using massive materials. Cid decides to stop the plan at any cost.

The first shipment of four massive meters to be delivered to Shinra is at the North Corel reactor. Cid and the group go there. They stole the train carrying Metria and managed to stop it before the train deviated into the city.

The second largest was the vulture castle. Where people went to war with Shinra soldiers to protect the giant vultures. Cid helps them and saves huge vultures and mares. At this time, the large vulture dies at the top of the castle, leaving an egg that turns into a vulture chick.

Cid who was worried about ClaudeTurns to Mideel. There he is suddenly attacked by an Ultima monster. The city is destroyed and the earth splits and Claude and Tifa fall into the Lifestream. At this time, Claude remembers all his past memories and then rescues himself with Tifa.

Shinra brings a powerful cannon to Jungar to destroy the difficult barrier that Safiroth created around the northern volcano.

Claude takes the lead again and sets out to save the third massive mass. They go to the Junon underwater reactor. There, Reno gets in their way, but they stop him and then board a submarine. They fire a submarine carrying massive material and then extract the material from its carcass and return to Junon.

The fourth and final massive mass is carried by Shinra to Rocket town. The side of the planet was moving, destroy. Claude and Cid go there and defeat Rude, who was guarding the rocket. Shera, Cid's old assistant, was with them. They pull the material out of the rocket and escape. However, the rocket is activated and fires at the Meteor. Before they can reach a safe place, one of the energy tanks explodes and Cid is severely injured. This was actually the tank that Shera was worried about malfunctioning a few years ago. He saves Cid and Cid apologizes to him. The rocket weakens it somewhat after hitting the Meteor, but fails to break it.

The group heads to Bogen Hagen in the Cosmo Valley. He tells them that he is protecting Metria and then points out that Iris is the key to destroying Safiroth. They return to the city of the forgotten. Bogen Hagen indicates the existence of a hidden key in the depths of the water. Claude uses the submarine to find the key and return to the city of the forgotten. With this key, they activate a display that teaches them the truth about Holy magic and how to use white matter, but is stopped in the middle by Sefiroth.

Cait sith realizes that Junon cannonball, which was brought to Midgar, is ready to fire. Before they reach Midgar, another five weapons come towards Midgar. Claude distracts him but fails to destroy him. At this point, the Junon cannon fires from Midgar, destroying the Safiroth magic barrier as well as the weapon. But before being destroyed, the weapon targets and destroys Shinra's main center during a counterattack, and President Rufus's apparently dies there.

Reeve realizes that Hojo is trying to activate the Junon cannon once again, and this time he intends to send a lot of energy to Safiroth, thereby handing over world domination to him. Claude and his friends enter Midgar with a parachute and decide to stop Hojo. Elena, Reno and Rude stop them and enter the fight. Claude and his companions defeat them, and in the next stage, they encounter a flying monster controlled by Scarlet and Heidigger, and they also get in the way. Eventually they find Hojo, which has undergone many changes (due to the use of Genoa cells). Hojo finally kneels in front of Ovalanche and they kill him (though he doesn't really die).

Claude and his friends head to the northern volcano, enter it, and head toward the center of the earth. There they see Safiroth and Genoa, and their greatest battle begins. They destroy Safiroth and his mother Genoa once and for all.


Meteor is still coming to Earth. At this time, Holy magic appears like a shield on the ground. However, it was too late and Meteor was too close. The violent collision of the two spells created a huge wave and destroyed not only Midgar, but the entire planet. Shortly afterwards the Lifestram (strings of life) appeared on earth and were placed behind the Holy Wisdom (the strings of life seemed to have flowed through Ierith and all who were dead). Holy and Lifestream together repelled Meteor magic and destroyed it forever. This incident was forever called Meteorfall.



2 years later
Red XIII, with his two small children beside him, runs through a dry, barren valley and stands on a hill overlooking Midgar. A lush land with beautiful waterfalls is in front of them, where once Midgar, with great splendor, rested there.
